How to upgrade Instagram to a professional account

Instagram offers Personal accounts and professional accounts (Creator or Business). Edmund Ng automations require a professional account tied to a Facebook Page.
Why upgrade?
- Professional accounts unlock business tools, insights, and messaging features used by automation platforms.
- You can connect the Instagram account to a Facebook Page, which is required for Instagram Messaging API access through Edmund Ng.
Convert to a professional account (mobile)
- Open the Instagram app and go to Settings and privacy.
- Tap Account type and tools (or Account on older versions).
- Choose Switch to professional account and follow the prompts.
- Pick Business (recommended for teams) or Creator.
- Complete category and contact details as requested.
