How to set up WhatsApp Cloud API in Facebook

Create a Meta developer app and enable WhatsApp Cloud API so you can bring your WhatsApp Business number into Edmund Ng.

Before you can use WhatsApp chatbot features in Edmund Ng, you typically create an app in the Meta for Developers portal—this is the WhatsApp Cloud API setup.

High-level steps

  1. Go to Meta for Developers and create or select a Business portfolio-backed app.
  2. Add the WhatsApp product to the app.
  3. Create or link a WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) and a phone number for Cloud API.
  4. Copy the Phone number ID, WhatsApp Business Account ID, and a long-lived access token per Meta’s current docs.
  5. In Edmund Ng, open Channels → WhatsApp and paste the credentials from your app.
  6. Complete webhook verification if the dashboard asks for it (Edmund Ng will show the callback URL and verify token to use).
